E-PORTFOLIO TERM 2
READING STRATEGY
ACHIEVEMENT OBJECTIVES:
Level 2
READING -
select from a variety of strategies to monitor their reading and to use
when meaning breaks down (e.g., cross-checking, rereading, using
what they know about words and sentence structure, and looking
for clues to confirm their predictions and inferences)
What did we do?
The teacher read a story to us during Kia Kaha called ‘Just kidding’
and when she stopped reading we had to write/draw how the
character was feeling and explain how we knew this. There were
clues in the story but it did not tell us. We were learning the skill of
inferring - reading between the lines.
Something I really enjoyed about this was writing how i feel and
doing some nice and fun coloring in.

done and make it look good.

You have done a great job explaining how you think the characters in the story were feeling Hazel. You have connected with this story really well. Well done!
